Christian Slater was "blown away" when he first met girlfriend Tamara Mellon.
The 'True Romance' star - who has been dating the founder of footwear company Jimmy Choo since September last year - couldn't believe his luck when friends set him up with the 40-year-old beauty.
He said: "What can I say, I was really blown away. I just couldn't believe it. She is absolutely beautiful, but there is a lot more going on with her, and we have had a lot of great adventures together."
"We're just taking our relationship one day at a time at the moment - it's really wonderful."
Tamara - who is rumored to have moved in with 38-year-old Christian - revealed the actor couldn't be further from the bad boy persona he often portrays on screen.
Speaking at a benefit for EIF's Women's Cancer Research Fund in Los Angeles last night, she said: "He does really romantic things for me almost every day!"
