Gwyneth Paltrow was so scared when she had pneumonia she "nearly collapsed." The "Two Lovers" actress - whose father Bruce Paltrow died of the inflammatory lung illness in 2002 - was horrified when she was told she was suffering from the condition as she thought she was going to die.

Gwyneth told People magazine: "When I fell ill with pneumonia last year the fear of dying sort of swept over me to the degree that I lost my sight for a second and I nearly collapsed."

The former Hole singer is growing tired of life in Los Angeles and is planning to buy a house in Britain for her and daughter Frances Bean, 16.

Coldplay are going to be sued at the Grammys. Joe Satriani has accused the band of plagiarism after claiming their recent single "Viva La Vida" was a based on his song "If I Could Fly" and has hired a legal team to serve Coldplay papers during the awards ceremony on Sunday.

Satriani is sure the group will attend the Los Angeles event because they have been nominated for seven awards.

Gwyneth Paltrow has joked "we are all" taking Class C drugs. The famously clean-living actress has spoken about her close friend Courtney Love's battle with illegal substances, hinting she has also experimented with drugs.

Speaking about Courtney, Gwyneth told Britain's Elle magazine: "I don't think she's on Class A narcotics anymore. Maybe just Class C. That's no big deal - aren't we all, ha, ha, ha!"

Gwyneth Paltrow agreed to star in a TV show to prove she isn't uptight. The Hollywood actress wanted to show the public her true character and so decided to team up with U.S. chef Mario Batali on "Spain ... On the Road Again."

He said: "I'm sure the reason she did it was because people thought she was kind of uptight. But she's not. She's natural. She's accessible - and it gave her a chance to show that."
