The "Two Lovers" actress - whose father Bruce Paltrow died of the inflammatory lung illness in 2002 - was horrified when she was told she was suffering from the condition as she thought she was going to die. Gwyneth told People magazine: "When I fell ill with pneumonia last year the fear of dying sort of swept over me to the degree that I lost my sight for a second and I nearly collapsed." | |

Joe Satriani has accused the band of plagiarism after claiming their recent single "Viva La Vida" was a based on his song "If I Could Fly" and has hired a legal team to serve Coldplay papers during the awards ceremony on Sunday. Satriani is sure the group will attend the Los Angeles event because they have been nominated for seven awards. | |

The famously clean-living actress has spoken about her close friend Courtney Love's battle with illegal substances, hinting she has also experimented with drugs. Speaking about Courtney, Gwyneth told Britain's Elle magazine: "I don't think she's on Class A narcotics anymore. Maybe just Class C. That's no big deal - aren't we all, ha, ha, ha!" | |
