Michael Jackson was booed off stage on Wednesday night. The music icon was booed following his long-awaited comeback at the World Music Awards.

The King of Pop, who seemed to be suffering from stage fright, struggled to hit the high notes and looked uncomfortable throughout his performance of "We Are The World."

Shakira and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to storm this year's MTV Music Video Awards after receiving seven nominations each. The nominations for the ceremony were announced July 31 by Beyonce Knowles, as MTV celebrated its 25th anniversary.

Shakira and the Chili Peppers will compete for prestigious Video of the Year prize, along with Madonna, Christina Aguilera, and Panic! At The Disco. The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been nominated for the promo for 'Dani California' and Shakira for 'Hips Don't Lie'.

Mary J. Blige, Kanye West and Jamie Foxx were big winners at the BET Awards on Tuesday night.

All three stars walked away from the ceremony, which celebrates black artists, at the Shrine Auditorium, in Los Angeles, with two prizes each.
