Cheryl Cole has branded the Spice Girls "b****es" whose success has been overblown.

The Girls Aloud singer - who is currently starring as a judge on U.K. TV talent show "The X Factor" - claims the 90s group don't deserve to be lauded as pop icons because their reunion was so short-lived and they are not as talented as her band.

Mel C has asked her former Spice Girls bandmate Victoria Beckham to plan her wedding. Pregnant Mel announced her engagement to boyfriend of six years, Thomas Starr last month and the couple are set to wed in July 2009.

A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Mel and Victoria have become very close since the Spice Girls reunited last year. And she knows that Victoria has the contacts and the ideas to make her big day extra special."

Sarah Harding says Girls Aloud only have "one or two albums" left before they split. The 26-year-old singer admits the band - made up of Sarah, Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberly Walsh - have accepted their chart success can't last forever.

When asked how much longer the group will stay together, Sarah replied: "There are still one or two more albums in us."

Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts has celebrated her 23rd birthday with a party in London.

Nicola was joined by her bandmates - Sarah Harding, Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh - for the party in London's Wellington Club on Saturday, although Cheryl left the party early after nursing a single cocktail for two hours.

Cheryl Cole says having children is her "priority." The Girls Aloud star - whose marriage to soccer star Ashley Cole was rocked when it was revealed he allegedly cheated on her with three different women - is keen to start a family now the couple's relationship is back on track.

She said: "Family is definitely becoming a priority. I started to think more about having children when I met Ashley. These days there is no reason why you can't have a family and a career. I'm from a big family and that means I have to make a start soon - so watch this space."
