| Cheryl Cole wants to launch a solo career. The Girls Aloud - who recently worked without bandmates Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle on U.K. TV talent show "The X Factor" - star is keen to make a record on her own, but will only do it with the permission of the rest of the group. When asked if the other members were worried she would quit the band to go solo, she said: "That's a horrible thing to think." | |
| Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow serenaded Cheryl Cole over the phone. The couple had called each member of Girls Aloud - Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding - individually to convince them to support Chris' band Coldplay. But when it came to persuading "The X Factor" judge Cheryl, the pair decided they needed to make an extra-special effort and sang a rendition of the girl group's hit "Sound Of The Underground." | |
| Simon Cowell has hired a team of top lawyers to help get Cheryl Cole a U.S. working visa. The music mogul - who hired the Girls Aloud singer as a judge on U.K. TV talent show "The X Factor" - is so keen to kick start the star's career in America he is doing everything he can to convince authorities to allow her to sing in the country. Cheryl has been struggling to obtain the essential paperwork after being convicted of assault in 2003. | |
| Cheryl Cole went on an extreme diet after her weight ballooned. The Girls Aloud singer admits she broke down in tears and turned to the controversial Atkins diet after she discovering she had a 29 inch waist in the band's early days. The 25-year old said: "In the first year of Girls Aloud, I went up to a 29 inch waist. I remember crying because I was 133lbs when I'm only 5ft 3in." | |
| Cheryl Cole has finally forgiven her husband's "horrendous" infidelity. The Girls Aloud singer insists she found it difficult to forgive soccer star Ashley - who was exposed as a cheat in January 2008 - but has finally put it behind her. She said: "It was horrendous, but look, Ashley's young and he's got a young mentality - for his age anyway." | |
| Cheryl Cole is "likely" to have had breast implants. The Girls Aloud singer showed off her impressive bosom in a low cut dress when she went to a London restaurant with husband Ashley Cole last week, and cosmetic surgeons are convinced she has undergone an operation to boost her cup size. Surgeon Angelica Kavouni said: "It looks very likely that she had a breast augmentation. She clearly uses a push-up bra but the edge of the implant is visible. It is often the giveaway in very slim individuals - even if the implant is placed under the muscle." | |
