It is a small step for Charlotte Church but a giant leap for celebrity-kind.

The actress has been successful in a complaint case against a tabloid that revealed she was expecting the pitter-patter of tiny feet.

The Welsh singer turned U.K. talk show host was preparing to reveal her pregnancy when The Sun newspaper announced the happy news.

The star filed a complaint to the Press Complaints Commission, claiming that the tabloid newspaper had intruded her privacy.

The successful ruling stated that "newspapers and magazines should not reveal news of an individual's pregnancy without consent before the 12 week scan."

The 20-year-old star is expecting her first child in the fall.
