Charlotte Church says Britney Spears has a right to get drunk. The pregnant TV presenter says it's "not fair" the troubled 25-year-old star is attacked for going out partying just because she has two children.
Charlotte, 21, told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "If you're a woman, you're supposed to stay sober until your kids grow up. That's not fair. Just because Britney has the odd night out doesn't make her a bad mom.
"She's still allowed to have a good time every now and again. It would be different if it was every night."
Charlotte, who is six months pregnant with her rugby star boyfriend Gavin Henson's baby, just sipped orange juice at this year's Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday.
Collecting her award for TV Personality of the Year, she joked: "I am really f***ing sober. I want you all to get drunk and have a few drinks for me, you b*****ds."
Charlotte wore a stunning white Anthony Price dress for the ceremony at London's Berkeley Square Gardens.
