Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas' son claims his acting abilities are genetic.

Eight-year-old Dylan Douglas told his drama teacher he will have no trouble learning to be a thespian because of his talented parents.

Catherine said: "My son went to his first drama lesson and he turned to his teacher and said, 'Don't worry. I'm a good actor. It's in my genes.'"

The youngster can also draw inspiration from grandfather Kirk Douglas, who has appeared in several classic Hollywood films including "Spartacus" and "Gunfight at the O.K. Corral."

"The Legend of Zorro" actress Catherine has recently said she wished she could talk to her dead grandmother after meeting a clairvoyant on the set of her latest film "Death Defying Acts."

She said: "I was fascinated by the psychic. I wanted to know what it felt like when you're channeling or doing whatever it takes to get to that state of mind, so he changed my perspective on it."

"I would love to be able to contact people on the other side."

"If I could speak to my grandmother tonight, I'd be doing it. So I do believe."
