Casey Affleck Loves His Role As Father

Actor Casey Affleck may have earned a best supporting Oscar nomination nod, but he would like a "Father of the Year" award just as much.

Affleck, younger brother to actor Ben Affleck, told People Daily that being a dad to his two young sons is his most rewarding role to date. Affleck and wife Summer Phoenix, have a 3-year-old son named Indiana, and their second son was born in January. His name has not been released.

The actor, 32, said parenthood has transformed his life, although said it was complex to describe being a parent.

Affleck received his Oscar nomination for his role in "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford." He also starred in "Gone Baby Gone."
