Everyone in Hollywood seems to have logged on-line and started writing letters.
In the age of instant messaging, BlackBerry's and e-mail, celebs are using technology to defend themselves, rather than a publicist.
Candy Spelling, mother of Tori, has spent the most time typing letters to Tinsel Town's wayward stars. Joe Francis has responded to her words while Paris Hilton and Britney Spears have remained silent.
Now, Lindsay Lohan's rumored ex-girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, is showing that the pen is mightier than the publicist and attacking Candy.
The celeb-DJ, who had a falling out with Lindsay just before her latest rehab stint, wrote a "closed letter" on her MySpace page, saying, "i don't understand the idea of writing an open letter to someone via a gossip website...it was weird when she knew the person- though- i'm not sure if it's stranger to write an open letter to someone you know- or someone you don't know- either way it's insane!
"that would be like sending your father a father's day card through your local newspaper...i don't get it...although it is nice to see old people using modern technology- on second thought she probably has some underpaid and overworked young girl taking dictation."
Candy has only recently reunited with her own daughter, Tori, after a bitter falling out over Aaron Spelling's death.
Samantha continued to be both grammatically and politically incorrect, writing, "i mean shouldn't she focus on her own children???? doesn't seem to me like she is all set on the home front..."
Candy has not yet responded. But with her track record, Samantha should check her inbox soon.
