Actress Cameron Diaz is back to work after the recent death of her father Emilio. She has appeared on the red carpet and also sat down with co-star Ashton Kutcher on the "Today" show to discuss their new movie.

While they talked about the movie, "What Happens in Vegas," Diaz was all smiles. She became somber when host Meredith Vieira brought up her father. Diaz's dad died at age 58 from post-influenza MRSA pneumonia.

Vieira asked Diaz, "What did your dad do for you in terms of making you the woman you are today?"

Diaz responded by saying she could not sum that up in a few words.

She then told Vieira, "I think we're just so fortunate as a family - to have the family that we have."
