Cameron Diaz and 'Grey's Anatomy' star Ellen Pompeo are fighting for the same New York apartment.
Cameron reportedly has her heart set on the $5.5 million four-bedroom, four-bathroom flat in Manhattan's prestigious Chelsea district, and has already viewed it three times.
Ellen viewed the property - which also has six private terraces - for the first time last weekend and is said to be "smitten".
A source said: "Cameron is determined to get the apartment, and is not going to let anyone stand in her way. She knows Ellen is interested, but is even prepared to pay a higher price to secure it.
"But Ellen isn't going to give it up that easily. She's smitten with it, and thinks it will be a perfect place to start her new family."
Ellen married music producer Chris Ivery last November. Cameron has been single since splitting from Justin Timberlake in January 2007.
