While the size zero craze in Hollywood is now becoming the norm, back when Calista Flockhart was Ally McBeal, there was outrage over her incredibly shrinking frame.
During her glory days as the ditzy lawyer, petite Calista became increasingly thin and sparked anorexia rumors.
However, the actress and mother of one insists that she has never had an eating disorder. In fact, she claims to never have dieted.
Calista explained, "I have honestly never dieted in my life. My parents and friends tell me that I have always looked the same since high school. But during (Ally McBeal), when we were filming and working so hard, I became stressed and did not eat as much as I should."
"I think, on a frame like mine, if I lose a few pounds, it makes a big difference. There was no anorexia or bulimia or any other such thing. I hated every bit of attention on my weight and size. Even now, I can't put into words what exactly happened."
Calista's co-stars Courtney Thorne-Smith and Portia De Rossi also became scarily thin while appearing on the David E. Kelly production. Lara Flynn Boyle, who starred on David's "The Practice", was once the poster girl for thin Hollywood bodies.
These days, many Hollywood starlets are dropping the pounds as their fame increases. Nicole Richie, Christina Ricci and Kate Bosworth are just some names who wear the controversial size zero.
