Britney Spears' plea to reinstate her visitation rights to her sons was rejected yesterday. The singer, who lost her three visits a week to see two-year-old Sean Preston and 16-month-old Jayden James after she was hospitalized for a psychiatric evaluation earlier this month, dashed out of the Los Angeles courthouse before the hearing even began.
Court representative Allan Parachini said: "The hearing is over. The previous custody orders - in which Ms. Spears has no visitation - have not changed."
"Both sides were heard in court. Notice was taken of Ms. Spears' absence by the court. She arrived at the courthouse, but shortly afterward indicated that she wanted to leave."
Britney - who arrived in a satin cocktail dress and gold high heels - had requested the emergency hearing in the hope she would be granted visits with the boys in a "therapeutic setting".
On Monday, Britney was questioned for 45 minutes by her ex-husband Kevin Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, in what he described as a "gut-wrenching" deposition.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old singer's legal team - headed by Sorrell Trope - have promised to continue to represent her, despite previously asking to be excused from the case.
When asked if law firm Trope and Trope would carry on working with Britney, lawyer Anne Kiley replied: "Yes, we are."
