After the year Britney Spears has had, her mother has finally come to her defense.
Lynne Spears, who was the world's most famous stage mother until Dina Lohan came along, has defended her daughter's behavior.
Britney Spears has married, divorced, had two children, shaved her head and been in rehab in a very short amount of time.
However, Lynne says the reality is not too different from other young people in the world.
She told US Weekly magazine, "I can see Britney's life picking up, and it's just going to hold great things for her. Everything is going to be really good...It's sad that the whole world had to watch her make mistakes that all of us have made at one time or another."
While Britney has been cleaning up her act, even getting back to work by going on a mini-tour, she had a slip-up recently when her dress fell down in public. During her wild days, Britney flashed herself to paparazzi - and revealed that she doesn't always wear underwear.
Lynne and Britney's relationship is only now back on track. The pair have been estranged for some months - to the point where Britney did not visit her sick mother in hospital.
