Britney Spears spent New Year's Eve with her two sons and photographer Adnan Ghalib.

The "Gimme More" singer and her new love interest - who reportedly spent Saturday night with Britney at Beverly Hills' Peninsula Hotel - saw in 2008 at a private beach front residence near Dana Point, California, with her two children, Sean Preston, two, and 15-month-old Jayden James, but had to be supervised by a court-appointed monitor.

A source said, "They just had a quiet night in together. Her and Adnan are getting on really well. There certainly weren't any wild celebrations. She says she just fell asleep not long after midnight but had a really nice time."

On Saturday, Britney was warned by ex-husband Kevin Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan that she will soon be forced to make a court-ordered deposition in their ongoing custody battle over the boys.

Kaplan said, "Britney Spears will have her deposition early in 2008. We've got a lot to talk about. She called in sick for her deposition on December 12, but was in fact out later that day and night. This is not fourth grade where you get a doctor's note and it's all OK."

Kevin currently has temporary full custody of their sons, while Britney has limited visitation rights.
