With the exception of only a few words being muttered at her recent concert gigs, it's been a while since Britney has poured her heart out to her fans and let them know how she really feels. But now the singer wants to set the record straight about some things.
Britney has posted yet another personal message to fans on her official website. In the letter, the pop princess claims that she has been trying to get her life back in control since rehab, and that she simply wants people to see her for who she really is.
Although Britney was said to have been in rehab for post-partum depression and even attended AA meetings, the often in denial starlet insists alcohol nor the mommy blues were what got her into the Promises facility.
She writes, "Recently, I was sent to a very humbling place called rehab. I truly hit rock bottom. Till this day I don't think that it was alcohol or depression. I was like a bad kid running around with ADD.
She goes on to say, "I realized how much energy and love I had put into my past relationship when it was gone because I genuinely did not know what to do with myself, and it made me so sad. I confess, I was so lost."
BritBrit says part of being lost was letting the wrong people into her life and then realizing it was best to weed them out.
She said, "You never know another persons intentions or what another person wants. I feel I was too open and looking for answers when I had it all to begin with."
Now, though, the girl who insists she is not trying to play the "victim" in her bundle of glorious mess, wants the public to know that she is simply human and that she just wants "the same things in life that you want... and that is to be happy."
