Britney Spears has officially lost temporary physical custody of her two children.
The fallen pop star has reportedly continued to ignore a Californian judges orders and now must surrender custody of two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James.
The boy's father, Kevin Federline, will now have full physical custody of the two toddlers. The former rapper and Mr Spears has been building a case against the "Crazy" singer to revoke her rights as a parent.
In September, a judge ruled that the 50/50 custody agreement would remain, but that Britney needed to undergo random drug and alcohol testing, enroll in parenting classes and sign the court order.
The star, who has been in rehab and shaved her head since splitting with Kevin, ignored these demands and made her final mistake over the weekend when she was pictured by hundreds of paparazzi driving her children around Los Angeles in her Mercedes convertible.
Kevin's lawyer, Mark Kaplan, went straight to the Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday morning to report to the judge that 25-year-old Britney has been driving her sons with an expired drivers license.
The Louisiana native has never applied for a Californian drivers license, a necessity for Californian residents. The singer has worked, married, divorced and bought property in California and has therefore established herself as a resident.
Her Louisiana drivers license has expired.
Judge Scott M Gordon said that Kevin will have full physical custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James, "until further order of the court."
Britney had until midday on October 3 to hand over her sons. However, the star quickly gave up her parental responsibilities just hours after the decision was made. Photographers caught Britney taking her children to a fast food restaurant before handing them to Kevin's bodyguard.
The troubled entertainer has since applied for a Californian driver's license.
