Britney Spears has been passing her court-ordered random drug tests. The 'Toxic' singer - who was ordered by a judge to complete drug and alcohol testing to keep supervised visitation rights to her sons - has tested negative so far, according to her lawyer.

Britney's attorney Sorrell Trope said: "She's passed her random drug tests. There's been more than one. They came up negative."

The 25-year-old star lost custody of son Sean Preston, two, and 13-month-old Jayden James last week after failing to take one of the court-ordered tests.

Britney was in tears yesterday as she handed her sons back into the custody of their father Kevin Federline after her first supervised visit.

A source said: "Brit was upset. It was really sad to see."

She spent a few hours with the boys at her Malibu mansion under the watchful eye of a court supervisor.

Meanwhile, the 'Gimme More' singer has been ordered by a judge to be formerly arrested in her hit-and-run case.

Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Rebecca Omens said Britney must hand herself in to a police station and be fingerprinted and photographed before October 25, when she is required to appear in court.

The troubled singer was charged last month with hit-and-run and driving without a valid license after she allegedly hit another car in a parking lot.
