Jamie Spears, the father of Britney Spears and conservator of her estate, is taking it upon himself to sell off some of the cars in Britney's fleet.

Lawyers for Jamie Spears have stated that the cost of maintaining her fleet of 7 vehicles is too expensive. Selling some of Britney's cars "will save substantial expense to the conservatorship estate" on costs such as insurance, storage and maintenance costs.

On Monday, the pop star's father was granted permission by the court the power to "sell or dispose of" some of her cars. The fleet includes a white Mercedes SL65, a white Mercedes CLK350, a white Mini Cooper and a black Audi.

Britney has had numerous driving mishaps and has been caught on camera several times making dangerous maneuvers and even running red lights. Even worse, her kids were in the car with her on several of these occasions.

Last year, she faced problems for driving without a valid California license and then she was charged with a misdemeanor hit and run after smashing into a car in a parking lot and taking off. And of course, the whole thing was caught on tape by paparazzi.

Jamie Spears and co-conservator, Andrew Wallet, will continue to control her finances until a hearing on July 31.
