Britney Spears appears unfazed Tuesday by sister Jamie Lynn's pregnancy shocker as she spent the night shopping at the Lisa Kline Boutique.
"She called us in the early evening and said she wanted to come shop for Christmas," Kate Diamond, the store's rep says. "She looks the best I've seen her in a really long time. She was really, really nice, saying, 'Thanks, babe,' 'Yeah, babe.' Everything was 'babe.'"
The 26-year-old pop star had allegedly learned about her 16-year-old sister's pregnancy through reports, as did everyone else. She was not forewarned by her family.
"[Spear] bought her mom and her sister Christmas gifts, matching gifts," Diamond says. The pop star had also bought two By Francine dresses and a Treesje purse.
By buying something for her mom and sister, this may be the "Gimme More" singer's way to reconcile with them. She had been estranged from her family since her divorce from ex Kevin Federline.
After shopping, Spears changed from her jeans into a new short red dress. She then drove with her assistant a few blocks to the nearby Raffles L'Ermitage hotel where they spent drinking water, soda, and coffee and then went upstairs.
As she got into the elevator, a fan remarked on how good she looked and then asked about her sister. Spears smiled and replied, "Jamie Lynn is good!"
