Britney Spears has done it again. And again. And again.
The fallen pop star has been called "Toxic" and "Crazy" but she needs to "Gimme More" song titles to described her increasingly distant behavior.
Spears custody battle with her ex-husband Kevin Federline has been well documented. From the subpoena's to the court appointed monitor, Britney's case has not been well heard in the Los Angeles Superior Court.
However, the "Hit Me Baby One More Time" singer continues to drag her own name through the mud.
The 26-year-old mother-of-two failed to arrive at a hearing, despite being ordered by the court to turn up. Spears' absence, which is frequent when it comes to legal showdowns, has given Federline's team more ammunition.
Spears' camp, however, has explained her nonattendance. A source told TMZ, "There's a million people outside of her house. She can see all the other madness (presumably she's looking at our live streaming video). The anxiety is making her sick. It's just too crazy."
However, the press circus that constantly follows Spears has never stopped her from going on frequent Starbucks runs and shopping on Los Angeles Robertson Boulevard.
However, another source has revealed that the star feels she is above the law. The insider said, "Britney feels like this is a perfectly acceptable thing to do. She did feel sick, but more than anything, she felt like she didn't have to do something just because she was told."
A new deposition date has not yet been set.
Currently, failed rapper Federline has custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James. Their mother has restricted and monitored visits.
Spears' behavior has made her no closer to regaining her parenting rights.
