Britney Spears has topped a poll which named her the worst celebrity dog owner of the year.
While she has been under fire for her parenting skills of humans, The New York Dog and Hollywood Dog magazines did not discount Spears because of her late night partying, reluctance to wear clothes or multiple rumored flings.
On the contrary, the magazine called Spears a "bad girl" for her focus being on Sean Preston and Jayden rather than her K-9 companions.
The magazines editor, Hilary O'Hagan, said, "Britney was the overwhelming choice. She once had three Chihuahua's ... and never left home without at least one of them on her arm. As soon as she met K-Fed and had kids they (the dogs) disappeared."
While the singer is busy parenting her two young sons, childless Oprah Winfrey was awarded the best dog owner.
The talk show queen, who has five dogs, beat off steady competition from dog-walking favorite Nicolette Sheridan and Tori Spelling, who came in second and third place respectively.
The former "Beverly Hills: 90210" star was pictured taking her pug for a walk in Beverly Hills over the weekend, armed with a designer puppy pram in case tiredness kicked in.
However, as Spelling is due to welcome her first child in only a few months, it will be a guessing game as to whether she gets the accolade next year.
