Britney Spears is back in the studio. Her former manager Larry Rudolph confirms that the pop star went to the recording studio but not to record an album.

Rudolph says of their Monday and Tuesday visits, "We went into the studio, but it was just for fun - nothing more."

Sources say that 26-year-old Spears had not been in the vicinity for the past year so her current visit had naturally sparked rumors that she's starting another album.

A source tells Us Weekly magazine, "She just wanted to go in and tinker around. She sat at a piano and got some ideas. She played the piano and sang a bit. She enjoyed herself."

"She wanted to go in as a way to get her creativity going. It was a really positive experience for her."

However, the source clarifies that the recovering "Toxic" singer and Rudolph are not talking business yet. Their visit to the studio isn't also an indication of a start of a new project.

Rudolph, who had managed Spears' career for nine years, just recently reconciled with the singer after she famously dumped him as her manager last year when he encouraged her to enter a rehab facility.
