It's been said that Colin Farrell is dating a failed British pop star wannabe.
The Hollywood actor has been spotted on a series of secret dates with little-known blonde Nicola Ward, who turned down the chance to be part of the hugely successful girl group Girls Aloud when she walked off British TV's talent show "Popstars: The Rivals" in 2002.
She was replaced by red-head Nicola Roberts who is still enjoying pop stardom now.
24-year-old Ward, who is now in a band called Cushh, has confirmed she is dating Farrell.
We met randomly in Kilburn, North London, and he took my number. I didn't think in a million years he'd get in touch, so I was really surprised when he called. I enjoy his company and, yes, he's a real gentleman."
"Miami Vice" star Farrell was in London filming his new movie "Summer Project 2006," which is being directed by Woody Allen.
The actor, who is renowned for his womanizing ways, was once married to British actress Amelia Warner for a year and has a three-year-old son, James, with ex-girlfriend Kim Bordenave.
Farrell has previously been romantically linked to Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan.
