Just because the divorce between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline has been settled does not mean the custody of their sons is agreed upon.
The ex-couple currently have joint custody of their boys Jayden James and Sean Preston but it could all change if Brit continues partying and Kev has his way.
While it was Kevin who was thought to be the irresponsible parent during their marriage, Britney has emerged unstable and 'crazy' since the split. Now, as far as Kev is concerned, Britney has to shape up or risk losing her kids.
K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, says that the kids life will be very different when in the care of their dad. Kevin is paying particular attention to their safety and ensuring that they have privacy. The lawyer said, "When they are with him, he is going to shield his children from unwanted media attention. You will not find a picture of Kevin parading with the children out in a public place. He's focused right now on being the best parent that he can be."
Meanwhile, Britney's legal representative is concerned that the two little ones could be kidnapped. Laura Wasser has ordered court documents to be kept top secret so that SPF and JJ are not attractive hostages.
She said, "Such information greatly increases the chances that the actions of the media could threaten the safety of the minor children by, for example, causing a traffic accident or by exposing the minor children to criminals who might target the minor children for financial gain."
Kevin is expected to file court documents requesting full custody of the boys just days after the divorce was finalized.
