Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are on the verge of splitting up, it has been reported.
The couple reportedly got into a heated political debate about their preferred Democrat presidential candidates - Brad supports Barack Obama, while Angelina is backing his rival John Edwards - while on vacation in France that Angelina hurled a glass of wine over her lover.
A source told Life and Style Weekly magazine: "They got into a huge fight about politics. Angie was cursing at him and ended up throwing a glass of wine in his face."
"Brad was left standing there with wine dripping down his face onto his clothes before storming off to wash up and change. He says he was absolutely disgusted by Angelina's behavior."
Brad, 43, and 32-year-old Angelina - who decided to go to France in an attempt to save their rocky relationship - are said to have spent the rest of their trip at "each other's throats."
Things are said to be so bad they have even talked about who will get custody of their children - five-year-old Maddox, three-year-old Pax, two-year-old Zahara and one-year-old Shiloh - if they split.
An insider told In Touch Weekly magazine: "They aren't making each other happy. But they want to put on a show of togetherness for the children. Their romance has fallen apart."
"They've turned into two people staying together for the sake of their kids."
It is believed Angelina would get custody of the kids if they decide to end their relationship.
