Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reportedly asked for a 95 percent discount on a Texas hotel.
The pair - who have four children and are said to be expecting twins - wanted to stay at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and Spa near Austin in Texas while Brad was shooting 'Tree of Life', but were stunned to find out the suite cost $2,000 a night.
Instead of paying the fee, Brad's people reportedly asked the manager to let them stay in Litton House - a 2,600 sq ft residence separate from the main resort - for 30 days for the price of $3,000, which is a 95 percent discount on the standard rate.
However, sources close to the couple say they didn't ask for the discount because they couldn't afford the price, they simply wanted to stick to the budget for 'Tree of Life'.
Brad took on the role in the independent film after lead actor Heath Ledger died of an accidental prescription drugs overdose in January.
Brad and Angelina eventually decided to stay in a rented house near the rest of the cast and crew in Smithville, Texas.
Angelina has also been in touch with the property managers about holding a fund raising event at the resort, another possible reason for asking for the discount.

I just can not stand the "Brangelina" duo! They make me sick to my stomach. She is a home wrecker and he is a two timer. I refuse to watch any movie with either of the two in it.
Jennifer is just so much better off without a two timer, and what goes around comes around. Angelina is famous for stealing husbands. Wonder who her next leading man is? The clock is ticking to husband stealing.

It was Jennifer who GAVE HIM UP. He waited while she finished Friends,then he was ready for a family and she was ready for a career. He seems so happy, she she seems to have matured. THEY ARE BOTH doing marvelous philathropic work and I applaued them and wish them much happiness. ALL YOU HEAR ABOUT THEM IS THE GOOD THEY ARE DOING FOR THE WORLD. They gave 8 millions dollars to charity ~ They are a pretty awesome couple in my book!

If that is true they should be ashamed of themselves! It just goes to show how these celebrities think of themselves and hold themselves way above everyone! Pay the full amount and show some damn dignity. I don't care about the budgets use your personal money to pay for it. I am sure it will not break the back. It really makes me dislike them even more and I am sure other people will too.
Where has our dignity and respect and honor gone?

It is all for show. Remember when they went to "live" in New Orleans to help revive the economy and even bought a home there in "ravaged New Orleans"? It was a mansion that was not damaged at all. The only renovations they did were for their comfort. However they acted as though they went down there and bought some horrible house and fixed it up for the good of the community. Yeah, right.
And with all they are doing, who will watch all those children and give them one on one attention that they will so desperately need following adoption?? There arent enough hours in their day.

What does having a fundraiser at the hotel have to do with discounting their stay? So the hotel should save them money because their having a fundraiser where other people cough up money for something they want. And their "friend" said that it's to stay in budget of the film. So your telling me that they have to have the studio pay for them to stay in Texas.
And they were stunned that the hotel cost that much! Like their not used to paying those kind of rates. Does Angelina not remember the time before Uganda? PLEASE!

Interesting. I didn't catch whether or not they were turned down for the discount. It just states that they chose another house to rent. I think good for them. It is good to be prudent even if you have money. This is usually the reason people have money, because they don't take it for granted.
