Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have become parents for the first time after the actress gave birth to a baby girl last night.
The smitten pair and the tot, who they have named Violet, are said to be "doing great".
The couple's publicists, Ken Sunshine and Nicole King, confirmed the baby was born at 6.26pm but refused to reveal where.
They said: "Mother, father and baby are doing great."
Ben and Jennifer, both 33, who married last June after meeting on the set of 'Daredevil' had both hinted they were expecting a girl.
Sexy Jennifer accidentally revealed her unborn baby was female on the 'Tonight Show', admitting: "You can just start to feel really pregnant, like you are the hugest person on the face of the planet. I felt bigger and bigger, like she."
Jennifer - who had earlier refused to reveal the baby's sex - quickly stopped mid-sentence and laughed.
Ben had previously sparked rumors they were expecting a girl when he was overheard discussing the baby with Jennifer at the couple's wedding.
According to In Touch magazine, Ben was heard saying to her: "My mom wants to know what we're going to name her, but I say, 'What does it matter what she's named if she has a healthy granddaughter?'
"Our baby will be perfect."
