Troubled celebrities Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse have found support from R and B star Mary J. Blige. The Queen of Hip Hop Soul has spoken out to support the younger singers.
The 36-year-old singer has once battled substance abuse problems. She said she feels sorry for stars like Winehouse and Spears because they fight their personal problems in public.
"They're human beings, and they're young, in a business that doesn't give a hoot about you, It's just sad. I hate to see any of these females go through it. I was young, and I did dumb stuff - I was doing worse than that."
Winehouse had recently been photographed outside her apartment wearing just a bra in the wee hours of the cold morning looking so upset. Her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, has been denied bail to spend the holidays with her.
Spears is currently in custody battle for her two sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston, against her ex-husband, Kevin Federline. She had failed to show up at a court-ordered deposition in Federline's lawyers firm due to "illness", her given reason Wednesday. Reports surface that like Winehouse, Spears might also be spending alone this Christmas since that absence has made Federline's attorney a reason to request from the judge to cut down Spears' time with his sons.
