Blake Lively would love to be a party planner. The "Gossip Girl" star - who plays Serena van der Woodsen in the hit U.S. TV show - was so excited about planning her recent 21st birthday party and soon realized she had potential as a professional event organizer.

She said: "I love to plan parties. That would be my career if I wasn't an actress!"

At the 1920s-themed party, held at New York's Palace Hotel earlier this month, Blake was accompanied by her "Gossip Girl" co-star and real-life rumored boyfriend Penn Badgley.

An onlooker said the couple were not making any attempt to hide their much reported relationship, adding: "They looked very cozy!"

The blonde beauty was serenaded by Michael Buble, who sang "Happy Birthday" to the actress, before her family embarrassed her by showing a video montage of the star singing "I Will Survive" and "Come to My Window."

Blake recently revealed she is desperate to get her hands on some of the clothes her "Gossip Girl" character wears.

She said: "In the show, as Serena I wore a $10,000 Chanel coat for a casual day at school. It's just absurd. I am not allowed to keep anything yet - but hopefully one day!"
