An inquest into the death of Anna Nicole Smith's son, Daniel Smith, revealed today that Daniel may have stolen some of Anna Nicole's methadone.
Larry Birkhead, Smith's former boyfriend, testified at the inquest in the Bahamas that he and Smith had reviewed surveillance tapes at Anna's house back in April 2006 after some of her methadone went missing. According to TMZ, he testified that Daniel and some of his friends stole the drug.
Birkhead also changed his story and told the inquest that he now isn't certain that he saw Howard K. Stern, Anna's attorney and lover, and Daniel smoking marijuana despite telling the authorities that he witnessed that in 2006.
Daniel died in September 2006 at his mother's bed side while visiting her at a maternity ward in the Bahamas after she gave birth to his half-sister, Dannielynn Hope. The autopsy report showed that he died of an accidental overdose of methadone and the anti-depressants Lexapro and Zoloft.
The inquest also revealed that Daniel was taken to a Los Angeles Hospital in July 2006 for an overdose of Valium.

Thank heavens that Dannielynn isn't growing up in the enviroment that ANS created! Sadly ANS was an UNFIT mother who only cared about her "drugs"..IMO Daniel could have been helped..BUT..ANS chose not to assist him because she had just given birth to her "new cash cow"..both Daniel and HK$ were extremely jealous of each other..I truly think that Howard gave Daniel sufficient drugs to cause him to die.AND I honestly think that he PREMEDITATELY administered the drugs that killed ANS..AND..SET UP MOE AND TAZ to take the "fall".
Mr. I want 6%..I hope you get a date in Jail where you belong..BECAUSE..YOU AND YOU ALONE could have prevented both deaths by CALLING 911 and reporting them both for DRUG USE {betcha skimmed a bit for yourself??} Instead you continued to order the drugs and KNOWINGLY perjured yourself by allowing a costly/lengthy court battle of paternity to be prolonged by your refusal to give a DNA sample!.DON'T TELL ME THAT "ANNA" WANTED YOU TO DO THIS!.had ANS received medical and psychiatric treatment she would have been FOUND UNFIT!
