Bindi Irwin has grown up around crocodiles, snakes and tigers but the daughter of The Crocodile Hunter is showing just how brave she is in the wake of her dad's tragic death.
The animal loving eight-year-old, who is currently touring the U.S with her mother Terri, told Britain's News Of The World newspaper that she is staying happy to cope with loosing her father.
She said, "He would be so happy that I'm happy. When I look back at all the memories, really that's what Daddy wanted the most for me. Yeah, some people might think, 'Oh my word she's happy, how can she be?' But, me personally, I think everyone has a choice of being happy or sad."
Bindi continued, "He hated it when I cried. If my pet goldfish died, he cried with me. So I'm trying really hard not to make him really sad that I'm sad. Sometimes it's really sad and I have to cry a little bit. But I really think - I really believe - he's just in another world."
The younger Irwin is currently filming her own wildlife animal show, "Jungle Girl", following in the footsteps of her "hero".
She said, "My daddy was my hero, he was always there for me. He taught me so many things. But most of all, he was fun. I want to help endangered wildlife like my dad."
In true Irwin tradition, Bindi admitted to "Good Morning America" that her favorite animals are snakes.
She said, "They're really nice creatures once you get to know them."
Terri and Bindi celebrated 3-year-old Bob Irwin's birthday at Australia Zoo with hundreds of well-wishers before traveling abroad.

hey bindi i think you are totally cool!but theres a big problem!my friend is the biggest fan of yours and she is just like you like she loves wildlife and she knows a lot about wildlife too. your dad is the one she looks up too!!and when she grows up she wants to be just like you but do you know what she could do to start her career?

I don't know if Bindi can send me an E mail or not but I wanted to say I'm sorry for what happened to Steve. Bindi has a great attitude. I'm still having some problems with being sad over the death of my grandfather and that was 12 years ago. I decided to try Bindi's way and try not to be quite as sad.
