Billy Bob Thornton says he is "best friends" with ex-wife Angelina Jolie. The "Love Actually" actor - who split with Angelina in 2003 - revealed he only remembers the positive aspects of their relationship and has the "utmost respect" for the actress.
He said: "I've never said anything but good things about any relationship I've had and, frankly, that's all I remember about them. I have the utmost respect for Angelina. She's a very sweet person, very talented and one of my best friends in the world."
The 53-year-old actor also opened up about his private life, admitting he shuns celebrity parties and wild nights on the town in favor of staying in with his family - girlfriend Connie Angland and their two-year-old daughter Bella - and watching TV.
He said: "My favorite thing is watching television. Every time somebody says, 'Hey, let's go to the Cobra Club' or whatever, I don't know what they're talking about. I don't know where anything trendy is."
"I watch TV, play with the kids and then go into the recording studio and do my music until the wee hours."
The actor will soon be seen starring alongside Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan in thriller "Eagle Eye."
In the movie, Billy's character completes a daring chase along airport baggage conveyor belts, and the star claims filming the scenes was just as hazardous as it looks.
He told Parade.com: "We were up really high falling from one belt to another. You couldn't stand up because you might get your head knocked off. I came through it OK, but Michelle got a nasty welt on her neck. Looking back, maybe I should have called for a stunt man."
