Don't get on a diva's bad side - or else. Many fans had long been anticipating Barbra Streisand's biggest comeback and latest nationwide tour, but many concert goers were displeased with the icon's rambunctious ways at her recent New York City show.
The music legend recently made her grand appearance on stage for a sold out crowd at Madison Square Garden. Some fans who paid up to $2,000 to attend the extravagant show were thrilled to see their legend perform some of her hit songs. It was as if she had never left the stage.
However, things started getting a little out of hand when a Bush impersonator was invited to climb on stage and the 64-year-old began insulting the President.
According to the New York Daily News, an onlooker said, "I paid to hear Barbra sing, not make fun of President George Bush."
As if things couldn't escalate even more, when one heckler asked Barbra to air her Brooklyn brogue, she told the shocked fan to "Shut the f**k up!"
Many concert goers say despite the diva's outspokenness, devoted fans of the star will keep coming back for more as she completes her 16-city comeback tour.
One fan said, "We love Barbra. She's classy and so we have to look classy to be here. She has helped us through so much. The first thing we do in a tragedy is listen to Barbra."

That's just too funny. It is funny that she would make fun of the president, and that someone would be insulted, and that she would respond like she did.

I read that someone thinks Barbra is classy. Well, I do not see that her words and actions are very classy. She is not god and I think some people think she is. Hate to differ with you. Knowing her m.o. I would never go to see her. She has an amazing talent and there is only one Barbra when she sings. She should respect her fans and just sing to our enjoyment. The girl left Brooklyn, but Brooklyn never left the girl. I can say that because I am proud to be from Brooklyn, but am not tacky like Barbra.

i understand he is a "professional heckler" ...she is a professional singer...so..what's the problem???hopefully we still live in a somewhat free country...i'm from brroklyn too..don't think she or i am" tacky"...just honest about our feelings!!

I agree with the heckler.....if she wants to run for office, let her....what a joke that would be. What would her solutions be? Sing your way out of trouble? She should stick to singing and leave the politics to big people.

Well, I was at the concert and saw the idiot who made the comments. He was walking through the arena trying to stir the pot. Right on, Barbra! Everyone knows she is outspoken and political. It comes with the territory. I agree the skit went on too long, but the jerk got what he deserved. Barbra also said to give him his money back. I hear he got it and left the arena to the rest of us so we could enjoy one of the truly great voices of out times. What a talent! Her orchestra was fabulous as well. The sound in the Garden was the best I've experienced in all the years I have been going there for concerts. Bravo!

Classy people say what they mean and mean what they say. Classy people take the high road. This "broad" is not classy; she's the epitome of celebrity decadence. Her trashy behavior just make the ones she insults look even better. Everyone has freedom of speech but a healthy culture requires that it not be abused, particularly by celebrities or others that people look up to. The culture suffers the consequences. Note: I'm more insulted by her treatment of her audience than by her opinions regarding the President of the United States.

Obviously, the heckler was there to heckle. Why would you go to a Streisand concert if you weren't a fan? It was stated by those present that he was walking around trying to stir the pot...so, Barbra took the matter into her own hands and those there to enjoy the greatest singer of our times, had a wonderful rest of the evening!

"Obviously, the heckler was there to heckle. Why would you go to a Streisand concert if you weren't a fan?"
Who says he wasn't a fan? He may have been a fan of her music, but NOT her politics. And why would he go? To hear her SING! NOT to hear skits criticizing the president. If you are doing a concert, do a concert. If you want to air political views hold a political rally. And I say that to celebities on BOTH sides of the fences. I have a rule. I don't make politics an issue unless the performer makes it an issue. If the performer makes politics an issue, then they take the cahnce of my not going to their movies anymore or buying their CD's anymore.

why would anyone go to grandma's concerts anyway?

I was there and I thought the way she responded was priceless. It's her party why shouldn't she say what she wants?! Everybody knows she's a strong woman who stands up for what she believes in..and I loved the spontinaity of it all - there were no teleprompts for that one! I think she proved what a gutsy lady she is and I love her even more for it.

Last time I checked this is still a free country.
Simple solution for those who are offended ~ Don't go to the show.
Plenty will gladly take your place!

First of all when did Babs become the all knowing political commentator and advisor of our country. Why would anyone look to her for advise on anything except what key to sing in. Who cares what her beliefs are. Everyone in that audience, who paid big bucks to hear her "SING" has their beliefs too. They just don't have a captive audience and stage to shout it from. I think it shows lack of imagination and frankly it's all very boring.

Big hips Babs always wants to dish it out, but the aging JAP just can't take it. She is a great advocate of freedom of speech when it comes to critizing the commander in chief, but question her classless comment and vulgar speech and you're told to STFU! On the subject of FUK the reknowned actress (have you ever watched Yentle...ouch!)..is an expert having bedded every B actor in Holloywood. The women's barnyard morals even include banging the " yoyo man" himself...Tommy Smothers! Barbara has been given the gift of a beautiful, but when the good Lord handed out brains she took a pass in that area. In her book...Democrats are gods and the GOP is satan...and the sad part is that when the Republicans really do things right...she is so partiasn and left wing that she can't acknowledge it. People like Streisand don't care anything about anybody but themselves. I wouldn't go across the street to watch her sing at my neighbors Barmitzfa!

If you don't like Barbra? and are not a fan? and wouln't go to hear her sing?, then what are you doing trashing her on a Barbra fan site? You all need to shut the F up and find something better to do. Maybe if you had any talent to call your own, you wouldn't be so jealous of someone that does!
