Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose has been fined after biting a security guard.

It happened in Stockholm on Monday night when the rocker went on a drink-fueled bender after performing in the Swedish Capital.

A police spokesman confirmed Rose - who had to be held in a cell for hours until he was sober enough to be questioned - was released after pleading guilty to "violent conduct and criminal damage" and agreeing to pay a fine of $5,460 and $1,357 in compensation to the security guard.

Rose - best known for worldwide hits 'Paradise City' and 'November Rain' - was also accused of causing minor damage to the interior of the hotel where he was staying.

Meanwhile, Slash has rubbished reports he is considering rejoining Guns N' Roses.

Rumors have been rife the guitarist was planning on ending his feud with Rose and joining the band again, but he has revealed he has no intention of returning to his past.

He said: "I don't know where the rumors come from, but I haven't dealt with Guns N' Roses any more now than I have in the last 10 years."
