Avril Lavigne is set to swap singing for acting. The diminutive star, who recently had roles in "Fast Food Nation" and "The Flock," is on the look out for a lead Hollywood role.

Avril is reportedly in talks with Sony BMG for a major part in a "thriller feature film," playing a "kind of a white trash girl." The 22-year-old, who is already signed as a recording artist to Sony BMG, made her film debut voicing a character in the 2006 animated movie "Over The Hedge."

Avril Lavigne is not a favorite among the Hollywood starlets.

She has recently been bad-mouthing Britney Spears at every opportunity and now the punk-pop singer is at war with Hilary Duff.
