Nicole Richie is a "huge" fan of Britney Spears. The 27-year-old star was thrilled to see her idol in concert in Los Angeles last Friday, revealing the evening was one of the best of her life.

Nicole wrote on her blog: "Friday night I went to the Britney Spears concert and had the time of my life! I have been a huge Britney fan since I was 16 and have been to all of her concerts. I think I went to five shows of her last tour."

Avril Lavigne's husband has warned Paris Hilton's ex-boyfriend to stay away from her. Rocker Deryck Whibley was reportedly furious after he discovered Avril had been out for dinner with oil heir Brandon Davis - who has also dated Lindsay Lohan - and texted his love rival saying: "Stay away from my wife."

However, a source is quoted by gossip blogger Perez Hilton as saying: "Avril assured Deryck that it was a business dinner about art, since Brandon also makes a living as an art broker. Deryck trusts his wife, it's just Brandon he doesn't trust."

Paris Hilton has been desperately trying to win ex-lover Benji Madden back. The heiress chased her former boyfriend across Los Angeles on Saturday night in an attempt to reconcile with him following their split last week.

Paris had reportedly been bombarding the Good Charlotte rocker with text messages, but he refused to reply. When Paris heard Benji was at the Villa nightclub on Saturday she decided to confront him and took pop star Avril Lavigne along for support.

She said: "Everyone was brown, except one of my favorite girls was blonde so we were like, 'You have to have brown hair.' It wouldn't look right. "I wanted my girls to look really punk rock with like black hair and that's pretty standard for everyone, like Madonna and Mariah Carey. If they're blonde you're not going to see another blonde on stage." Meanwhile, Avril - who recently celebrated her second wedding anniversary with Sum 41 rocker Deryck Whibley - insists she has no plans to start a family just yet. The 23-year-old singer said: "I don't want to have kids for like 10 years. I still have a lot to do. I don't even know if I could handle a dog right now. I'm so not ready. Someday I'll be a mom but not until I'm in my 30s."
