Audrina Patridge speaks out about her topless photos. The reality TV star says that the pictures were taken five years ago when she was "young and very trusting."
Naked photos of Patridge, 22, have just surfaced on the Internet, which she had reportedly submitted to Playboy but was rejected at the time of the shooting. She has confirms she had, indeed, posed topless for the shoot but denies that she wanted to submit it to the magazine.
Patridge, who stars in The Hills alongside pal Lauren Conrad, says through her rep, "I took these photos years ago when I was just out of high school and beginning to model. I was very young and very trusting of others and I didn't know how to protect myself. It is a lesson learned, for myself, and hopefully for the young girls who look up to me."
Her rep further add to People magazine, "Audrina never wanted them submitted to Playboy. And they were taken nearly 5 years ago."
Patridge was reportedly "always comfortable in front of the camera and wasn't shy or nervous about doing a nude shoot." The pictures were posted on the celebrity blog "What Would Tyler Durden Do."
