She's got the soul and rhythm to bust out her amazing vocals not only on stage, but in the movies too.
Aretha Franklin recently said she was extremely excited about being given the opportunity of hitting some high notes and strutting her stuff in the new movie "Bobby."
The movie, which is written and directed by Emilio Estevez, is about the day Bobby Kennedy was killed in Los Angeles.
Aretha says she was ecstatic when she got a call asking her to perform a gospel song for the film. Her new song "Never Gonna Break My Faith" features a couple of big name celebrities, including Mary J. Blige and was written by Bryan Adams.
The soul singer says she couldn't pass up on the chance to perform what was simply sweet music to her ears.
In an interview with Startpulse, she said, "(The song) is one of the best I've heard in years. When I heard it, I had to do it. It's got a heavy, heavy lyric."
