Aretha Franklin has been offensive once again. After infuriating Beyonce's dad over the "Queen" comment, the Queen of Soul has now enraged the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) for wearing fur.

PETA spokesperson Dan Matthews wrote an open letter to Franklin calling her a 'court jester' for wearing dead animals when she attended the Grammy Awards ceremony.

"Music lovers may think of you as a 'queen,' but to animal lovers, you are a court jester... Why not shed the old-fashioned look that adds pounds to your frame and detracts from your beautiful voice? Please consider donating your furs to the homeless as 'queen of compassion,' Mariah Carey did. You'll get a tax credit for the donation, and we at PETA will sing your praises," Matthews writes.

Franklin had been hurt when Beyonce called Tina Turner the 'queen.' She had expressed distress by saying it was a "cheap shot for controversy." In return, the younger singer's dad/manager, Matthew Knowles, called Franklin "childish" and "unprofessional."
