Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner has declared his love for Beyonce.
The 21-year-old rocker is a big fan of the "Bootylicious" singer even though her duet with Shakira, "Beautiful Liar," kept his band's single "Brianstorm" off the top of the U.K. charts.
He told Q magazine: "Come on. How does a tune like 'Brianstorm' challenge Beyonce? For us to even get near that world with such a strange tune is a good thing. Beyonce can have the number one. I've always been a fan of hers. I love her."
Alex - who recently split from girlfriend Johanna Bennett - is also a huge admirer of Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah, 23.
He said: "In the Comic Relief song they recorded with Girls Aloud, 'Walk This Way,' she raised the bar."
The Arctic Monkeys burst onto the music scene in January last year when their album, "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not," became the fastest-selling U.K. debut album release of all time. Their follow-up, "Favorite Worst Nightmare" was released in April to huge critical acclaim.
