He was the winner of the first "Apprentice," and now he's the winner of his fiancee's heart.
Former "Apprentice" star Bill Rancic proposed to his E! News anchor girlfriend, Giuliana DePandi, over the weekend. The winner of the Trump hit show was both happy and relieved when she said yes.
Giuliana told PEOPLE magazine that it was the most magical moment of her life having her prince charming ask her to marry him.
She said, "I thought I was dreaming. It was the most amazing moment of my entire life. Not only is Bill the love of my life, but he's also my best friend. I couldn't believe my dream guy was asking me to marry him!"
On Friday, Rancic began the unforgettable romantic evening by sending a limo to pick up his sweetheart, who had just arrived in Chicago from Los Angeles, at the airport. The couple's representative says she was then taken to a helipad where Rancic greeted her with pizza and champagne.
With their stomachs full, the two lovebirds climbed onboard a helicopter to enjoy a dazzling ride over downtown Chicago. And with their heads in the clouds - literally - it was the perfect opportunity for Rancic to propose.
Their rep, Jim Dowd, said "He proposed to her mid-air while they were getting a tour of Chicago."
Once back at Rancic's apartment, DePandi finished off her spectacular night with delicious chocolate cake.
