Anna Nicole Smith has admitted she is pregnant.
The former Playboy playmate has been dogged by rumors she is expecting a second child but had refused to confirm or deny the claims - until now.
In a video clip posted on her Web site - annanicole.com - she confirmed: "Let me stop all the rumors. Yes. I am pregnant. I'm happy, I'm very, very happy about it. Things are going really, really good, and I'll be checking in and out periodically on the web, and I'll let you see me as I'm growing."
The confirmation comes just days after photographer Larry Birkhead - the man who claims to be the father - claimed he had proof of the pregnancy, despite repeated denials by Anna Nicole's spokesman and lawyer, Howard K. Stern.
He was quoted on the Web site TMZ.com as saying: "I have seen the ultrasound and have spoken to doctors. I am very excited."
Anna Nicole - who already has a 20-year-old son - was recently caught browsing for baby clothes at trendy Los Angeles baby boutique Petit Tresor.
An onlooker revealed: "She and a female friend were looking at mostly pink pyjamas and blankets. The kind of things you get when you first find out."
