Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has been summoned to appear in a Norwegian court. The Back to Black singer was summoned two months after she was arrested and fined. The 24-year-old hit maker, her husband Blake Fielder-Civil and her hairdresser were arrested and fined $725 for drug use and possession of seven grams of marijuana on October 18 in Bergen. The singer is ordered to attend court on February 29.
"The Gulating court sent us a letter dated December 18, 2007, stating that this case cannot be tried in absentia," Bergen police lawyer Rudolf Christoffersen.
Winehouse claimed she was tricked by the police into signing a confession, but Christoffersen says, "[Police were] very certain the three knew what they were signing. They were interrogated by a police office who speaks fluent English and they paid the fine on the spot."
