Amy Winehouse left fans furious when she pulled out of a Liverpool show at the last minute. The 'Rehab' star was due to perform in front of 4,500 fans who had paid £24 ($48) and waited in line in the rain to watch her perform.
But just 15 minutes before she was due on stage it was announced she was too ill to appear.
One disgruntled fan, Sophie Appleton, 19, said: "We heard her rehearsing and she seemed fine."
Sophie's boyfriend Paddy Redmond, 19, added: "We took two trains and a taxi here. It should come out of Amy's wages."
Chas Cole, spokesman for the series of Summer Pops concerts in Liverpool, said the 'Rehab' star only cancelled after being advised to by doctors backstage. He described the situation as "regrettable".
It is not the first time Amy has let down fans. In March, the 23-year-old singer postponed two performances at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire at the last minute citing a mystery illness. She had been pictured buying alcohol in a supermarket earlier the same day.
Amy's Liverpool show has been rescheduled for July 18.
