Troubled singer Amy Winehouse allegedly has a suicide pact with husband Blake Fielder-Civil if he gets a long jail sentence but her dad rebuffs the reports. Civil is already in jail having denied a bail to spend the holiday season with Winehouse.
The 24-year-old "Rehab" singer will be reportedly face questioning this week regarding police's suspicion that she may be involved with her husband in attempting to pay off a witness in his assault case. She will undergo a fingerprint and DNA test as part of the questioning.
"This is a very significant development in the investigation," a police source says.
Winehouse could face up to life imprisonment if convicted. The couple has agreed to kill themselves if the both receive a long jail sentence, reports say.
"Amy has had her problems but she is really teetering on the brink. She has hatched a suicide pact with Blake. If they are both handed lengthy jail sentences she is determined they will end it together rather than five years apart. She can't live without Blake and her family are worried sick. This could finish her off. She isn't strong enough for prison life," the source says.
But her dad is saying differently. Contrary to the rumors, Mitch Winehouse says her daughter is not on a suicide watch.
"It's rubbish. Amy is on the road to recovery and there's no way she would ever consider that," the patriarch Winehouse was quoted by Contactmusic.
