'Rehab' singer Amy Winehouse is causing a stir stateside with her bizarre and controversial antics, this time carving the name of her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil into her stomach with a piece of glass during an interview.
"I'm not in this to be a role model," she said, during her interview with Spin magazine. "I don't care. I don't care about any of this and I don't have much of an opinion of myself. I don't think people care about me. I made an album I'm very proud of and that's about it."
The British songstress continued, "I write songs because I'm f***ed in the head and need to get something good out of something bad. I thought, 'I'm going to die if I don't write down the way I feel. I'm going to do myself in.' It's nothing spectacular."
The singer is due to perform at the Oxegen and T In The Park festivals next weekend in the U.K. and Ireland. Her latest single off her 'Back to Black' album, 'Tears Dry on Their Own' will be hitting U.S. radio waves this coming month.

To suggest someone should carve up their face is more a reflection on the intelligence and humanity of the poster vs. the subject in question. How very sad and uncivilized.
Insofar as the remarks on the young woman's vocal ability, it's apparent we're not reading the words of a trained musician or vocalist.
Interesting how even when in discussion about an obviously troubled person a mature conversation can not be held online with even an iota of grace or class.
