Amy Adams had "growing pains" when she turned 30. The 34-year-old actress feared she would never make it in the film industry and her neuroses almost got the better of her when she hit the landmark age.

She said: "The summer I turned 30, I remember it vividly. I had such growing pains that summer. I had just filmed 'Junebug' and though the experience of making it was transformative, it was a small, independent movie. I didn't know if anyone would even see it."

Amy Adams loves her fiance because he always runs her a hot bath. The actress says actor Darren La Gallo - who she has been in a relationship with for six years - is very thoughtful and is always doing little romantic things to make her happy.

She said: "Darren gives up a lot and gives me a lot. He comes to visit me on set. He draws me a bath when I get home. He's an actor and also an artist and he sends me drawings. Just lots of sweet little things to keep us connected."

Amy Adams says finding love is helping her become a woman. The "Doubt" actress - who is engaged to actor Darren LeGallo - spent years searching for her ideal man and now she has found him, she can concentrate on other areas of her life.

The 34-year-old star said: "I spent most of my 20s looking to find a man - what a waste of energy! Now I actually have a man and I'm able to focus on becoming a woman."
