Almighty Carrey Not A Fan Of Cruise's Religion

Jim Carrey is one star who won't be joining a hyped up religion.

The "Number 23" star has called organized religion "controlling" and singled out Tom Cruise's Scientology faith.

The actor, who played God in "Bruce Almighty," said, "I don't think I'll ever belong to an organization, because organizations corrupt."

Referring to fellow A-lister Cruise, Carrey said, "It's tough when egos get involved and they're trying to bend the will of another person, rather than allowing them to come to it if they see it."

While many Hollywood stars have rediscovered religion, like Scientology or Kabbalah, Cruise has reached "Christ" status in his beliefs and is spreading the word.
